WATER LINE REPLACEMENT

The water main line is a long stretch of pipe that carries fresh water to your home from the city line.  It is used every day and so with age it will naturally begin to break down.

Our professional Dependable Service staff are licensed and trained to repair and replace all issues related to commercial and residential water lines in Myrtle Beach, Conway, Pawley’s Island and surrounding areas. We work to make this process as comfortable as possible for you and your family by promptly addressing your property’s unique needs with our industry-leading equipment and technology.

Signs of a Water Line Break

Similar to sewer line breaks, water main line breaks have fairly obvious signals that point to a problem.  These are:

  • Suddenly high water bills
  • Weak ground
  • Collapsed ground or sidewalk
  • Puddles in the yard, clearly not associated with rain water
  • Spinning water meter when water is not turned on
  • Decreased or inconsistent water pressure
  • Lack of water supply

Water main line breaks need to be immediately addressed. Your utility bills will only continue to rise until the problem is fixed as a result of the large amount of water being wasted.

Causes of a Water Line Break

Most causes of water main line failure are out of the home or business owner’s control.  It could simply be old age that causes water lines to deteriorate.  Old or outdated pipes are constantly carrying a flow of water which will inevitably result in rust, corrosion, and sediment build-up.  Other common causes of water main breaks we see include:

  • Tree root intrusion
  • Broken pipes
  • Misaligned pipes
  • Leaking pipes or joints
  • Prior repair using the wrong kind of pipe connection

The licensed technicians at Dependable Service are ready to inspect and help your water main situation.  With our 24-hour, seven days a week availability, we have you covered.

Water Line Replacement
customer review

“Senior technician, Joe Anderson, made plumbing repairs to an upstairs bathtub to seal leaks from flooding through kitchen ceiling downstairs. This has been an ongoing serious daily problem in this apartment since April 2015. Mr. Anderson was the first person to have a camera system with him to assess areas where water was accessing kitchen ceiling. He explained in detail what he did and what he found wrong. Water had been flowing from next door apartment whenever they used their shower for over a year now. Mr. Anderson stated he needed to get permission from apartment management office in order to proceed to correct issues in next door apartment. Management has not allowed that access yet. He also noted that a single shower curtain in the apartment next door was on the outside of that tub and felt that could be creating some of the flooding issues. Thank you Mr. Anderson for being my angel and making these repairs.” –-Lyda G.
